About us

Co-founders Pete Williams and Steve Temple set up Gibe in early 2009 having worked for over 10 years each in various digital agencies. We worked for some of the leading regional and London agencies and felt it was time we gave our own agency a go! We first met at UWE back in 1997 and have worked together for about 7 years at various agencies so we know each other’s strengths and weaknesses well.

Steve’s technical background has led Gibe to focus on more technically demanding digital developments. We are happy to roll our sleeves up and get stuck into the more complex stuff that other agencies might shy away from. We are technology agnostic and work with both .NET and PHP based technologies. We believe in using the right technology for the requirements of the project rather than trying to shoehorn requirements to fit a technology.

We set Gibe up in Bristol as the city has a wealth of digital talent and is well supported with Bristol Media and other industry bodies. It's also nice being able to walk to work along the river rather than being stuck on buses and the tube! Gibe is based in St Nicholas House in the centre of Bristol so we have St Nic's market on our doorstep and a roof garden to soak up the sun in the summer.
